Vinci (FI) - Conti Guidi Square |
The project concerns the lighting of the new configuration (planned by the artist Mimmo Paladino) of the main square of Vinci, the native town of Leonardo, a place with an irregular, amorphous form surrounded by public and residential buildings of different heights and rising from different levels.

In this work light gives an impression of lifting, of absence of gravity (both in the physical and in the spiritual sense); light helps to perceive the ascent of mind towards a new spiritual dimension.
Grazing lighting allows to read the fascinating symbology engraved in the flooring’s stone slabs; a contemporary Nazca, rich in mystery and in complex interpretation, reveals herself to us.
We used light as a cultural mediator, we transformed her in a temporary line able to bring to the contemporary man the beauty, the power and the prophecy of the leonardesque science.
We liked to mix in harmony mathematics and art, calculation and grace. Our bright intervention wants to lay emphasis on the ludic aspect of the project: geometric and metaphysical games connected with leonardesque stars, games between light (reality) and shadow (mystery), reflection games between water and stone.
