In the last days of July, from 23rd to 31st, Villa Pennisi in Acireale (Sicily) becomes the exceptional location of a temporary wooden building, built to hold outdoor music performances. This, in summary, the program of the workshop in design and planning "W-Sound, Design to Build" organized by MAR Association - Music Art Research, in collaboration with some of the Faculty of Architecture in Italy.

 

In addition to design and engineering of the building, the workshop will also address the issues of sound propagation, with the help of an acoustic consultant by Buro Happold Studio, and the lighting project, through the participation of Filippo Cannata.

 

At the closing event, with the distribution of diplomas and action by critics, it will be the inauguration of the building with the first concert, attended by Michele Campanella, pianist of international renown, and the Stradivari Sextet, members of the Symphony Orchestra of Santa Cecilia National Academy.
